Dr. Mondestin graduated Summa Cum Laude from Florida Atlantic University. After completing, he then obtained his medical degree from Emory University School of Medicine. He then completed his Orthopedic Surgery Residency at the Medical University of South Carolina. Following his residency, he was accepted into the prestigious Johns Hopkins University Spine Surgery Fellowship where he underwent training in traditional and minimally invasive approaches to spine surgery.
Dr. Mondestin is a member of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons and the North American Spine Society. He has a wide variety of interests ranging from the treatment of degenerative spine disease, spinal stenosis, disc herniations, scoliosis and spinal trauma.
